WELCOME I’M GLAD YOU ARE HERE!

PARKER, CO

It's not what we do – it's why we do it

I’m glad you are here! My name is Heather and I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, healthcare consultant, and founder of The Connecting Space and Colorado Pediatric Therapy Associates, with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals, families, healthcare agencies, educational systems, and community organizations.

My specialty is bridging clinical expertise with operational strategy—helping organizations strengthen compliance, improve processes, develop strong teams, and elevate the quality of care. My background spans early childhood, schools, hospitals, home care, residential programs, and complex medical and developmental populations across the lifespan.

I have built and operated a thriving home care agency, overseeing clinical services, compliance, hiring, training, billing, documentation systems, and day-to-day operations. This hands-on ownership experience allows her to consult from a place of real-world understanding—offering practical, scalable solutions that work in the realities of running a business, not just on paper.

My training allows me to quickly assess communication patterns, thinking styles, and team dynamics, we can help leaders identify gaps between intention and execution and build systems that support clarity, accountability, and sustainable growth.

My work is grounded in one core belief: When communication is clear, systems are strong—and people thrive.

Feel free to reach out—I can't wait to connect!
Warmly, Heather

    My Story

My roots were planted in upstate New York, but my growing years took place in Eugene Oregon. There was a brief stop in southeast Idaho to get educated, but I have built my career and nurtured a business in Colorado for the last 25 years. My true love is always the ocean.

I have been married for 30 years to a wonderful man who is an aerospace engineer, and have two adult children who are finding their way in the world.

I wear many hats throughout the day. I have a BS in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology, and a MS in Speech Pathology. My true education has come from working with professionals, teams and families over the years to better understand and express themselves and solve both big tasks and pesky struggles.

In the last few years of my professional practice, it has become clear that bringing people together was not only beneficial, but a need that has been expressed by people of all education levels, social status, age, race, religions and social circles.

Regulation and compliance are complicated, let's do it with real business and clinical perspective, together. I am excited to learn from and WITH you.

    Thanks for taking the time.
