Who is Heather Baker.
A natural born Leader, who loves people. She leads by example. Because she leads from the front.

I met Heather in I believe it was May 2018.So as a former Mission Rep( Logistics Coordinator) I picked up and delivered her, and her team at the Airport .I go to Church with them. I worked, with them, I took them out for dinner. I prepared breakfast for them every morning. I share every meal with them.

"Why am I saying all of this? I am saying all this to highlight the fact, that over the years, I have interacted with Heather and her team enough, to recognize, her leadership's qualities.

Each morning I go to make Breakfast, she is always the first one to come to the dining room. Sometimes when I get there, she is already there, and made the Coffee and is sipping her Mug of Coffee.

She spends her day, not only giving therapy, but also feeding the disabled, and help them to get dressed. Every morning they would push their wheel chairs and take them to prayers.
She has raised and spent Thousands of dollars to take her team to Jamaica, to do voluntary work with MUSTARD SEED COMMUNITIES JAMAICA.

Not only that, she has raised and spent thousands of dollars, building, painting and repainting play areas for our disabled kids. Having " WORKERS APPRECIATION DAY" for our Care Givers, and the rest of the staff.

How I really got to know her better, was at her after dinner evening gatherings, where we had general discussions, about how the day impacted them. Her calm but firm demeanor impressed me.

What drew me to her was the way she related to her team, who were actually her employees. She was never Bossy, and she never talked down to anyone.

Heather is a people person, one whom has earned the love and respect of entire MSC, the Children, the Care Givers, the Mission Team, which work, to make her job comfortable, so much so, that MSC, has sought her advice going forward, and invited her to Jamaica to do consultation. That tells me, that MSC has seen in her, what I have .She has a good heart, her help is not superficial, it as real and as we say in Jamaica, down to earth. I once told a group of millionaires, whom I worked with at MSC, that money doesn't inspire me, people do . And Heather Baker inspires me.

It was an incredible experience going with her to Jamaica as a volunteer. Watching her lead the training sessions for the caregivers was inspiring. She didn’t just teach, she connected with them. She created a space where caregivers felt valued and supported, and she recognized their hard work in a sincere and meaningful way. Her leadership is not about being in charge; it is about empowering others. She gives people confidence, reminds them of their value, and believes in them.
